The Napa Valley Film Festival (NVFF) is excited to announce its collaboration with the CIA at Copia, the Culinary Institute of America’s newest property in downtown Napa. The first CIA operation completely open to the public, this location offers daily cooking and beverage classes, wine tastings, a full-service bar and restaurant, and a lifestyle store.
This year, the CIA at Copia will house the NVFF Culinary Theater, one of our many “off-screen” experiences. Situated inside the Copia’s Napa Valley Vintner’s Theater, the NVFF Culinary Theater will serve as the exclusive destination for culinary demonstrations during the festival. These demonstrations offer pass holders access to Napa Valley’s world-renowned food and wine. The Napa Valley Vintners Theater is an exceptional, fully equipped demonstration kitchen with raked seating.
The inspiration behind this special “off-screen” experience comes from many of the food and wine themed films playing at the festival. Both film and food have the ability to transport individuals to places around the globe while broadening their opinions and perspectives on life. That is why, this year, our culinary demonstrations are now hands on collaborations between Chefs and NVFF17 Filmmakers. During these culinary demonstrations, food-themed films will inspire many of the dishes and spark conversations between these talented artists and the audience. In addition, as the sponsor of the Culinary Theater Pantry, Whole Foods Market will provide the best ingredients for every recipe.
The 12 NVFF culinary demonstrations take place Wednesday November 8 through Sunday November 12. As a pass holder, attend these daily culinary demonstrations before or after catching a film at the Copia Theater or chatting with friends over a glass of wine. Stay tuned for more details on the NVFF Culinary Theater schedule and the featured Chef and filmmaker demonstrations.
